Sign UpThe Lakeshore Community Chorus invites you to Seasons of Love, our spring concert taking place at First Congregational Church of Saugatuck, Saturday, May 18th at 3:00 p.m. We will surround you with songs of forever love, love for a child, love remembered, and love best forgotten. You will walk out the door singing-literally, because we invite you to join us in a sing along to end our concert.
Lakeshore Community Chorus is delighted to welcome guest conductor Austin McWilliams, whose energy and skill has made preparing these love songs a fun and enlightening experience. Austin McWilliams is a conductor and countertenor who specializes in contemporary vocal music. In fall 2023, Austin became the Director of Choral Activities at Aquinas College after teaching at Western Michigan University for six years. He is Head of Music at West Michigan Opera Project and was previously Associate Conductor and Chorus Master at Opera Grand Rapids for three seasons. He is also the choir director at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids. Austin holds degrees in choral conducting and computer engineering.
Tickets are expected to sell out soon for this one-time performance as seating is limited. They may be purchased from a chorus member or at First Congregational Church of Saugatuck on these dates: Tuesday April 30th and May 7th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. or Saturdays May 4 and 11 from 10:00 a.m. – noon. Seating is general admission at $15. Children 12 and under $5. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
We are seeking a talented and dynamic Artistic Director to lead the Lakeshore Community Chorus (LCC) with a clear artistic vision that will inspire and engage both singers and audiences, propelling the LCC to another level of success. This position is responsible for the leadership, planning, and management of artistic operations including rehearsals and performances, community outreach, and collaboration with other arts and cultural organizations. The Artistic Director reports to, and works in consultation with, the Board of Directors.

The Lakeshore Community Chorus is thrilled to be back On Stage & Live for our annual holiday choral performance on Sunday December 4th, 4 pm at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver Street, Saugatuck. There is no better way to prepare your heart and soul for the holiday season than to enjoy a holiday choral performance! So mark your calendar for December 4th at 4 pm! One Performance Only!
You don’t want to miss “Holiday Reflections” featuring a wide variety of seasonal choral selections. The chorus is under the direction of Nancy Plantinga, with piano accompanist, Daniel Tague. Also showcased will be brass and percussion instrumentalists.
The Lakeshore Community Chorus fosters community engagement by performing diverse choral music and sponsoring related programs for the education and enjoyment of members and audiences in our surrounding lakeshore communities.
Programming is supported in part by the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts. Holiday Reflections is a Lakeshore Community Chorus event held at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts.
